Explore the Instagram app and some other applications designed to enhance your IG experience. There are different ways you can do this
 
Dig around IG app and see what's trending by clicking on popular hashtags and browsing through the pictures. Even a relatively straightforward hashtag, like #cheesecake will have lots of pictures. See which ones have the most likes and the ones you would be most willing to like and learn from them
Click on the activity button to see what your followers are up to. Identify the trend they are jumping on or better still ''bring the trend to them''

Try out some get-follower apps. There are lots of apps out there competing to help you get more followers, these best amongst these apps will most likely require that you pay a fee. Some of them allow you to build capital or "coins" by liking pictures and doing other tasks, which will earn you followers in return
 
Use some get-likes apps. These apps are literally like the ones discussed above but are mostly specific in their function. They are designed to get you likes and mostly don't have to pay for them. They require that you do little tasks to get "coins" to earn yourself some extra likes from bot accounts. These likes in turn could attract followers to your account.
